Orkay Vangibhat Masala, is a Masala to make a popular south Indian tangy rice dish. Some versions vangibhat are prepared with up to thirty ingredients. Vangibhat traditionally is made by cooking, rice, sautéed vegetables, adding salt and turmeric, Vangibhat spices up to 30 varieties in and other ingredients together and finally with tamarind. The combination of all these ingredients gives the product unique flavour and taste. The traditional process of making Vangibhat masala is quite lengthy. It has a perfect blend of 16 ingredients which bring out the best flavours of dal or any vegetable that may be used.

Cut 250gm of Brinjal into small pieces. Add required quantity of salt and shallow roast in a Kadai vessel after seasoning with mustard seeds, urad dal, chenna dal. Cook 400g of rice in twice the volume of water. When cooled, transfer to the kadai with roasted brinjal, add some oil and sprinkle 100g of ORKAY® Vanghibath Masala on it. Mix well. Delicious Vanghibath is ready to serve.
Vangibhat was originally made with Brinjals alone. Later Vangibhat went on to be prepared with other vegetables like carrots, potato etc.
