    Iyengar Puliyogare Mix

    Orkay Puliyogare Mix, also called puliyogare, pulihora, puliyodharai, is a mix to make a popular south Indian tangy rice dish. Puliyogare traditionally is made by boiling tamarind and other ingredients together. The traditional process is elaborate and lengthy. Puliyogare has a longer life. This makes the product most travel friendly.

    Cook 400g of rice in twice the volume of water. When cooled, transfer to a large vessel, add some oil and sprinkle 100g of ORKAY® Iyengar Puliyogare Mix on it. Add desired quantity of groundnuts fried in oil and season with 4-5 red chillies, curry leaves and mustard. Mix well adding more oil if necessary. Add grated copra for taste.
