Instant Rava Idli Mix
Rava Idli, is a delicious Indian breakfast. Rava Idli is a type of savoury wheat semolina cake, originating from the Indian subcontinent, popular as breakfast foods in southern India. This is a variant of the traditional Idli which is fairly recent in its origin. The cakes are made by steaming a batter consisting of Wheat semolina and other ingredients. The batter is made by using curds. Rava Idlis are delicious with an irresistible flavor of roasted wheat and curd.

- Measure and portion one cup of ORKAY® Rava Idli Mix with one and a half cups of thick fermented curds.
- Mix and stir briskly and allow batter to stay for 5 minutes.
- Now pour the batter evenly into your idli plates and steam for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with Chutney,Sagu and Ghee.
Before you add curds, you can add Green chillies, Ginger, Grated Coconut, Coriander and Carrots to the dry mix.
Important: To prevent the Idlis from becoming hard, avoid repeated strirring of the batter. It is useful to ensure an even mix to avoid lumps in the batter. Use thick, fermented curds to get best results and prevent yellow spots in the Idlis.
Rava Idli has a unverified claim of being invented in Karnataka during the world war 2 as an alternate to Rice Idli.
